Chief Master Sergeant DANIEL R. PERRY

CMSgt Daniel R. Perry is the Senior Enlisted Leader of the 1st Weather Group, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. In this position, he leads, mentors, and develops over 950 Officer, Enlisted, and Civilian Airmen assigned to 6 squadrons across the globe performing continuous weather operations for home-station and combatant commander requirements. Further, he serves as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Group commander on organizational structure, training, professional development, and disciplinary matters ensuring personnel are organized, trained, and equipped to provide decision-quality forecasts, threat assessments, and mission briefings for 542 Department of Defense installations.

CMSgt Perry enlisted in the Air Force in September 2002 from Alamogordo, New Mexico. Following Basic Military Training he completed Weather Forecaster School in April 2003 and has since held a variety of weather positions from the Flight to Major Command echelons. CMSgt Perry has three deployments to the Middle East in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and subsequent campaigns, most recently as the Superintendent of the 22d Expeditionary Weather Squadron.

Prior to this assignment, he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader at the 25th Operational Weather Squadron, Davis- Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.
