Chief Master Sergeant ANDREW R. SMALL

Chief Master Sgt. Andrew R. Small is the Command Chief, 557th Weather Wing, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. He advises the Commander on all issues regarding health, welfare, morale, and effective utilization of more than 1,450 personnel serving at 19 locations around the world. The 557th Weather Wing provides centralized weather products and services, including climatological and space weather support to Air Force, Army, Joint Force, and other Department of Defense activities enabling air and space superiority, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, rapid global mobility, global strike and command and control in support of all geographic and functional combatant commands.

Chief Small grew up in Brooklyn, New York and entered the Air Force in 1998. His background includes various positions within the communications career field to include positions in the Network Control Center, Wing Information Assurance Office and within the Cyberspace Warfare Operations career field charged with delivering full spectrum cyber options for our Air Force and nation when tasked. His assignments include Maxwell AFB Alabama, Kadena AB Japan, Fort George G. Meade Maryland, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Hawaii.

Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Master Sergeant Andrew R. Small was the Commandant of the Robert D. Gaylor Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
