Sheppard AFB has busiest joint-use airfield in AF

Senior Airman Daniel Palma, 80th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment, cleans an aviator helmet mask as part of his daily duties to ensure equipment issued to pilots of the 80th Flying Training Wing is in serviceable condition. AFE is one of many career fields that played a role in 2017 that led to Sheppard Air Force Base's airfield being named the busiest joint-use airfield in the Air Force.
